Senior Principal Software Engineer II

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support the analysis, design, implementation/code (typically in C++), integration, and testing of advanced electronic warfare systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to an engineering team to ensure successful delivery of program objectives.
• Present the technical design to the customer at technical interchange meetings.
• Provide ongoing status updates to keep management informed of progress and results.
• Ensure effective communication across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Secret Security Clearance (active within the past few years).
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field, and minimum of 10 years work experience or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, lead, and motivate technical teams.
• Experience in embedded and/or application software development in C++ in a Linux environment.
• Foundation in Object-Oriented design and implementation principles.
• Knowledge of software engineering processes, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with software testing, validation, and verification activities.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering.
• Experience with electronic warfare, radar, or communication systems.
• Active CompTIA Security+ Certification.
• Full life-cycle software development experience.
• Agile development experience.
• Experience interfacing with customers or subcontractors.
• Familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite, ClearCase, Bitbucket.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and extensive work experience (minimum 10 years).
