About the Role

The Senior Product Management Associate will partner with Lead/Head to create strategies to improve productivity and efficiency in the production ordering process. They will collaborate across teams in partnership with regional buying offices and monitor existing processes to analyze effectiveness. The role reports to the Head of Product Management for Handbags and SLGs at Ralph Lauren, a global leader in premium lifestyle products, fostering a culture of inclusion, belonging, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and drive processes in Production Order Management with focus on Strategic Planning, gaining alignment across teams and Regional Buying Offices to ensure seamless ordering.
  • Drive End to End BSR & Replenishment ordering, maintaining clear communication across Regional Buying Offices to coordinate and align teams for on-time deliveries.
  • Partner with teams to optimize lead times across product categories and manage calendar milestones, informing managers of opportunities to shorten lead times.
  • Embed with teams to help drive PIR Process across the business, tackling ambiguous factory allocations and ensuring complete costing data entry for timely order placement.
  • Identify and escalate risks to on-time production, ensuring correct delay codes are entered and working toward KPI reporting related to on-time deliveries.
  • Troubleshoot errors in order placement, enforce policies and procedures, and maintain system data accuracy.
  • Identify knowledge gaps in Production and Pre-Production, utilize RL Learning Portal and Systems Trainings to implement new ways of working.
  • Partner with team members to attend key milestone meetings such as Sample Hand-off, Long Lead Time Reviews, MOQ calls, and showroom setups to anticipate final order needs and troubleshoot.

Requirements

  • Product development or production related experience preferred, with full product lifecycle understanding from design to production.
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLookUp, Pivots).
  • Subject matter expert (SME) in a specific product category such as accessories, including experience in product development, engineering, or production.
  • Proven ability to optimize production outcomes through understanding manufacturing processes, factory capabilities, machinery, and capacity.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills to work with Commercial, Merchandising, Operations, Design, and Sourcing teams.
  • Ability to quickly pivot and problem solve with innovative solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and specific product information.
  • Ability to navigate and troubleshoot in systems.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and PLM systems.

  • Factory visits experience.
  • Experience with systems training and implementing new ways of working.

Qualifications

  • Experience in product development or production preferred.
  • Full product lifecycle knowledge from design to production.
