Senior Product SEO/GEO Strategist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Evolve with the AI Search landscape as new tools & methodologies are developed around AEO/GEO, and Generative AI models.
• Develop & deliver exec-level presentations that highlight SEO, ASO, and GEO insights, technical enhancements, content recommendations, training materials, etc., for internal and client teams.
• Conduct technical SEO, GEO, and ASO audits with prioritized recommendations that interweave with a product team's roadmap of ongoing feature development work.
• Develop custom technical SEO requirements, such as Schema Markup recommendations and 301 redirect maps, for Engineering teams to implement.
• Build & maintain custom technical requirements that keep up with industry changes & best practices for broader SEO team leverage.
• Design and implement automated regression tests with Test Engineers across multiple environments to identify site issues impacting SEO.
• Collaborate daily with cross-disciplinary teams such as Engineering & Test Engineering, Analytics, Design, Content, Strategy, and Research to create an excellent product experience.
• Drive audience & topic research for SEO & ASO projects to influence content strategies based on data that extends beyond just keywords.
• Conduct client competitor research to develop meaningful insights that drive SEO strategy and align with business goals.
• Design reporting dashboards with event tracking, custom formulas, and segmentation in partnership with Analytics Architects to measure business impact.
• Drive strategy for product teams using analytics and SaaS tools to increase qualified traffic and improve conversion rates.
• Monitor industry trends in SEO, GEO, and ASO to inform strategies and avoid outdated practices.
• Collaborate with client & project teams to create & maintain an ASO strategy for app store listings.
• Work autonomously on up to four projects simultaneously.
• Support and mentor junior team members and promote thought leadership through LinkedIn and blog posts.
• Support business development efforts as part of the “Offers” team within Marketing Services.

Requirements

• You're a tenacious problem solver, tinkerer, and thrive in ambiguity.
• A data-driven approach and understanding of how web performance, usability, and web technologies like LLMs, voice search, and A/B testing impact SEO and GEO.
• Experience working daily with GenAI tools to expedite research and outputs.
• 6+ years SEO experience at a digital agency or in-house.
• Expert knowledge of modern web technologies, including server-side rendering, single-page applications, and how search engine & AI bots crawl sites.
• Strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JSON-LD, and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
• Evidence of developing or implementing technical SEO and content recommendations that drove organic growth and met business outcomes.
• Ability to communicate ideas and tactical recommendations effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives.
• Data-driven decision making with the ability to frame narratives, identify risks, and prioritize work.
• Experience with tools such as Sparktoro, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Looker Studio, SEMRush, seoClarity, Ahrefs, or similar AI-supported tools.
• Ability to manage workload across up to four projects simultaneously.
• Self-starter with the ability to operate independently across offices and remotely.
• Passion for continuous learning about web development, SEO, GEO, and related intersections.

Nice to Have

• Advanced training, certifications, and/or a degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
• Active thought leader on LinkedIn and/or blogger.
• Background in Web Development, UX, Content Marketing, and/or Product Strategy.
• Experience and/or interest in App Store Optimization (ASO).
• Familiarity with A/B/n and multivariate testing methodologies.
• Experience with web products, native mobile apps, and development teams.
• Experience with JIRA and similar project management platforms.
• Agile development methodology experience.
• Previous product agency experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years SEO experience at a digital agency or in-house.
