SEO Strategy Manager

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and manage a comprehensive SEO strategy covering technical, local, on-page, and off-page initiatives to drive organic traffic and conversions.
• Lead the development and execution of our local SEO strategy, including managing Google Business Profile listings, building and monitoring local citations, optimizing for local search queries, and maintaining a consistent local search presence.
• Create and execute a forward-thinking strategy for optimizing content and websites for AI-powered search engines, conversational interfaces, and large language models (LLMs).
• Manage, mentor, and develop content specialists, guiding their professional growth and overseeing their day-to-day tasks.
• Lead the development and execution of our international SEO strategy, including managing multi-regional targeting, overseeing content localization and translation efforts, and optimizing websites for a global audience.
• Manage and oversee relationships with external vendors, agencies, and tools, including negotiating contracts, monitoring performance against KPIs, and ensuring high ROI.
• Conduct regular site audits to identify and resolve technical SEO issues related to site architecture, crawlability, indexation, and site speed in collaboration with the website team.
• Partner with business unit marketing directors to develop and execute a content strategy that identifies opportunities and drives the creation of high-quality, SEO-optimized content.
• Monitor industry trends, algorithm updates, and competitor SEO strategies to ensure tactics remain ahead of the curve.
• Present SEO performance, insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in SEO, with at least 2 years in leadership or management capacity.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of technical SEO principles, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and their impact on search engine performance.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets, identify key trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and mentor team members.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex SEO concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• High proficiency with leading SEO and analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, and Yext.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and creative thinking to identify and resolve SEO challenges.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Ads, or other relevant digital marketing platforms.
• Experience working in a B2B SaaS, e-commerce, or similar fast-paced digital environment.
• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis and automation.
