About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to lead moderately complex initiatives within technical domain environments. The role involves contributing to large-scale planning, designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting projects related to technology upgrades and deployments. The position requires collaboration with peers and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and lead projects, acting as an escalation point and providing guidance to less experienced staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs related to technology upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet client needs while leveraging understanding of policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent (work experience, training, military experience, education)
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience working with Python, including design patterns such as Factory, Builder & MVC
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React
  • 4+ years of experience with data modeling languages such as XML, YAML, and JSON
  • 4+ years of experience with SQL, Oracle, non-SQL databases like MongoDB, and other query tools
  • 4+ years of experience with web services such as REST
  • 4+ years of experience with CI-CD Pipelines, OpenShift OCP, Harness, Micro-Services, Kubernetes/Helm Charts, GitHub & GitHub Actions

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with DevOps methodologies
  • Experience with different SDLC methodologies like Agile SCRUM, Kanban, and JIRA boards
