The Senior ServiceNow Software Engineer will be responsible for developing, configuring, and optimizing the ServiceNow Core Platform to enhance business processes and improve service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of ServiceNow Core Platform solutions, customizing core capabilities such as Quality Code tool and global tables.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define system requirements and customize the platform to meet business needs.
  • Develop and implement scripts on the ServiceNow platform to automate tasks and integrate with external systems.
  • Ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the ServiceNow platform by monitoring performance, conducting system upgrades, and implementing performance tuning.
  • Manage the ServiceNow release cycle, including deployment planning and execution.
  • Provide advanced support for ServiceNow by troubleshooting, implementing bug fixes, and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of ServiceNow best practices, processes, and security protocols.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on ServiceNow development and configuration.
  • Stay current with the latest ServiceNow updates and features and evaluate their potential benefits for the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Five or more years of ServiceNow development experience.
  • ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Admin) Certification.
  • Availability for On-Call rotation (once as primary and once as secondary) every 13 weeks.
  • Availability to support production releases on Wednesday evenings, every other week.
  • Profound knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and its capabilities, including understanding of latest releases and updates.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with client and server-side scripting in ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks (like AngularJS) for portal development.
  • Experience with integrating ServiceNow with other business systems using REST, SOAP, and web services.

Nice to Have

  • Ability to design and implement complex workflows and automate processes.
  • Skills in designing intuitive user interfaces and user experiences within the ServiceNow portal.
  • Experience in optimizing ServiceNow application performance and ensuring scalability.
  • Understanding of security best practices, including data privacy and role-based access controls.
  • Knowledge of implementing and customizing ServiceNow's AI features, including NLU and AI service integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in Agile project management.
  • ServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Developer) Certification.

  • Educational background including a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • ServiceNow CSA (Certified System Admin) Certification.
