About the Role

As a full stack developer at Booz Allen, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. This role involves developing software and systems from vision to production, using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges, ensure solutions consider current architecture and future enhancements, and contribute to shaping systems for the better.

Key Responsibilities

Develop codes, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software.
Leverage understanding of business applications as well as user, performance, quality, interface, and security requirements.
Work with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them.
Resolve customer complaints with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Assist in development of software user manuals.
Assume responsibility for desktop design, testing, security lockdown implementation, integration with standard software packages, and automated patching and deployment technologies.
Document and train on applications, including automating deployment and updates.

Requirements

10+ years of experience with software development.
Experience with data modeling and schema design.
Experience with object-oriented programming, including Java and Python.
Experience with containerization, including Podman, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Ability to develop and deploy services on Cloud platforms, including AWS.
Ability to process and ingest large scale data using Apache Spark.
Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in software engineering, or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice to Have

Experience with developing ETL and ELT pipelines with Apache Nifi and Databricks.
Ability to perform message queuing and real-time streaming with Apache Kafka.
Ability to perform Scala programming.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in software engineering or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
