About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the short and long term direction of Boats Group and work as part of a product team to deliver success.
• Contribute to the continued development and maintenance of some of the largest marketplace websites in the industry.
• Communicate effectively with other employees both inside and outside the development team.
• Periodically apply analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve critical production outages and issues.
• Stay current on software development trends and help identify which to adopt to ensure continued success.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or related field of study, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining complex enterprise web applications in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of React and NodeJS application development, including SSR and CSR, with a focus on UX, quality, and usability.
• A solid understanding of Unit Testing and End-to-End testing with frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress.
• Experience developing and operating web applications in a cloud environment like AWS.
• Experience working with React UI component libraries and CI/CD pipelines.
• Awareness of security best practices, including OWASP standards and vulnerability resolution.
• Knowledge of web performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, Lighthouse, and RUM.
• Understanding of SEO best practices, including on-page optimization, meta tags, and schema markup.
• Familiarity with web accessibility standards such as WCAG and developing accessible websites.

Nice to Have

• Experience with tools like Github, Slack, Jira, Cursor, and Co-Pilot.
• Knowledge of cloud services like AWS and Cloudflare.

• Educational background in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
