About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Operate within a variety of software development environments to support the development of software programs, business and technical applications, and web content.
• Perform routine maintenance and management of critical Department of the Navy (DON) Cyber systems.
• Provide accurate and timely completion of technical development and support tasks in accordance with Information Systems standards and methodologies.
• Develop in high-level programming languages such as Java across various environments like Visual Studio, Eclipse, and NetBeans.
• Develop software for cloud-based systems.
• Conduct requirements analysis and design.
• Create and maintain software unit tests.
• Use version control tools.
• Perform code reviews.
• Work with APIs and system interfaces.
• Support the development of databases such as MS Access, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL.
• Use various release environments (Development, Test, Production).
• Attend virtual meetings with the customer.
• Ensure code compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy cybersecurity standards.
• Work in approved DoD environments.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional certification per Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (CSWF) requirements.
• 10+ years' experience in development and management of software solutions, including studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
• IAT-II Certification: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.
• Must possess and maintain government security clearance at the Secret Level.
• Proficiency in Java programming language.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Atlassian JIRA, ServiceNow, Microsoft SharePoint, and Wiki for content management.
• Knowledge of IP-based systems and network protocols to develop and support communications protocols.
• Experience with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing scripts.
• Knowledge of C#, Python, and Microsoft VBA programming languages.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent technical degree from an accredited college or university
• Equivalent professional certification for years of experience per Cybersecurity Workforce Framework (CSWF) certification requirements
