About the Role

The Senior Software Development Engineer role is based at the Bogota development center and involves working on the airline Passenger Servicing System, which provides check-in and boarding services to approximately 150 airlines and 1 billion passengers annually. The role focuses on analyzing specifications, designing systems, developing software, testing, maintaining, and documenting solutions to enhance airport operations and improve the travel experience for users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze specifications and define user requirements for new or upgraded software solutions.
Design technical solutions, perform feasibility studies, and propose viable options to Product Management and users for validation.
Develop software according to Amadeus standards, model, design, and implement databases.
Conduct unit, package, and performance tests to ensure quality in line with guidelines.
Participate in product validation, fine-tuning, and support customers by debugging solutions in collaboration with Product Managers or Analysts.
Produce and issue software documentation necessary for the application and relevant departments.

Requirements

Solid technical foundation in software development.
Experience with technologies such as C++, Python, JavaScript, Angular, and TypeScript.
Knowledge of databases like Oracle and SQL language.
Familiarity with cloud platforms including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
Understanding of practices such as SAFe, CI/CD, DevOps, and Automated Testing.
Good English skills for effective collaboration with an international team.
Curiosity, continuous learning mindset, agility, and adaptability.

Nice to Have

Experience working in airline or airport operations systems.
Knowledge of the Departure Control System (DCS) or Passenger Management systems.
Experience with cloud-native development and microservices architecture.
