About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement digital solutions and systems using advanced technical expertise.
• Architect and code software applications, conduct system testing and debugging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
• Contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript and SQL.
• Adept at problem solving and decision making skills.
• Adept at collaboration and teamwork.
• Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Microservice and Serverless Architectures.
• Experience in open source frameworks.
• Experience in Agile practices.
• Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based applications, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Strong expertise in building server-side applications using Node.js and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies, ensuring code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.
• Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and OpenSearch, with a strong understanding of data modeling and query optimization.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience with the Express framework for building RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), especially AWS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).
