About the Role

Toyota's One Tech SCaFT Department is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our development team. This role will focus on implementing and maintaining high-quality software solutions while collaborating with senior team members to deliver value to our customers. Reporting to the Senior Product Engineer, the person in this role will contribute to the department's mission of building innovative and scalable software solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Implement technical solutions that align with architectural decisions and team standards
  • Develop and maintain software applications using modern development practices
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver features and resolve technical challenges
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Write clean, maintainable code that meets both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Contribute to technical discussions and solution design

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • Hands-on experience with React and modern development frameworks
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL/MongoDB, Node.js REST APIs, and front-end development tools (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Strong knowledge of DOM manipulation, component development, and testing frameworks like Jest
  • Experience with GraphQL, ECMAScript, and modern authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web Tokens
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
  • Ability to write clean, well-documented code and contribute to technical discussions
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices
  • Experience with performance optimization and security best practices
