About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Lennar in Salem, OR, you will be at the forefront of developing a secure, reliable, and scalable communication platform for enterprises. You will work closely with a collaborative team of engineers and data scientists to shape the product roadmap, deploy mission-critical changes, and manage AWS resources and services. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, efficient high-throughput backend services for B2B enterprise applications.
  • Build and optimize multi-tenant SaaS solutions on AWS, focusing on data-isolation, scalability, performance, security, and permissions.
  • Set SLAs/SLOs for latency, throughput, and error budgets; build monitoring and alerting; design for automatic failover and disaster recovery.
  • Lead and own efforts in infrastructure automation, optimization (including cost), and CI/CD implementation using AWS tools.
  • Ensure high-quality code through rigorous test-driven development and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop APIs and backend services.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to align on deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and implement robust security measures (e.g., encryption, secure data separation and handling) across backend services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
  • 7+ years in experience in backend software engineering, at least 4 years working with AWS.
  • Experience with OAuth2/OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP.
  • Designing isolated schemas, partitioned data stores, or sharding strategies.
  • Expertise in AWS core services (e.g., EC2, CloudFormation, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.).
  • Strong programming skills in Python (optional: C/C++, Java, Typescript).
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-grade B2B applications.
  • Strong understanding of API design and database management.
  • Demonstrated experience with test-driven development (TDD) and CI/CD.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • A strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Confidence in your abilities, balanced with humility and a willingness to learn from others.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CPaaS (e.g., Twilio, Plivo).
  • Experience in the construction industry or related fields.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
