The Senior Software Engineer role supports the Advancing Operational Testing Infrastructure (AOTI) Capability Suite team, developing software applications for operational testing that enable data context, lineage, and traceability throughout the operational test event life cycle, primarily using Blazor and React technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy clean, maintainable, and high-performance code using relevant technologies within our stack (e.g., Blazor, .NET/C#, React, TypeScript).
Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers on software design, architecture, requirements definition, and feature delivery.
Drive code quality and consistency through active participation and leadership in code reviews, promoting adherence to best practices.
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering technical growth within the team.
Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our Agile development processes, tools, and team practices.
Develop and maintain clear technical documentation for code, architecture, and processes.
Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical roadmap planning.
Translate business and feature requirements into concrete technical tasks, assisting with backlog management and estimation.
Travel less than 25% may be required.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in a technical discipline (engineering, science, computer science/engineering).
7-15 years of professional software engineering experience delivering complex software solutions.
Demonstrated proficiency and professional experience in either modern front-end development (React, Blazor, TypeScript/JavaScript) or back-end development (.NET/C#, API design, database interaction), or strong capabilities across the full stack.
Solid experience working within Agile environments and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Excellent analytical skills with a proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
Proficiency with Git version control.
Experience contributing to software system architecture and detailed design.
Experience translating requirements into technical tasks and estimating development effort.
U.S. citizenship and the eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (engineering, science, computer science/engineering).
7-15 years of professional software engineering experience.
