Senior Software Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the software development life cycle (SDLC) process which includes designing, building, testing, and deploying applications to production.
• Design distributed and concurrent systems using microservices, multithreading, asynchronous programming models, and event-driven programming environments.
• Develop applications built on .NET Framework, .NET Core, Java, HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Work with Kafka messaging, NoSQL, and SQL for optimized application performance.
• Manage application containers and deployment to the cloud.
• Troubleshoot, problem-solve complex financial software.
• Work with cross-functional teams to create new components, services, reports, and APIs.

Requirements

• Solid command of developing solutions, under minimal supervision, with personal accountability, ownership, and a keen attention to detail.
• Full stack expertise - server side and UI - using web (e.g., Angular, React, Node, jQuery), and/or native (e.g., .NET, C# WinForms, Java, C++, iOS) technologies.
• Proficiency with creating SQL schema, stored procedures, triggers, views, functions, and advanced performance-tuning.
• Non-judgmental familiarity with operating systems (and command-line superpowers).
• Acceptance of AI tools into your workflow for development efficiency; and a basic understanding of LLMs.
• Knowledge of microservice architectures and developing for and deploying to public/private cloud platforms.
• Effective teamwork and collaboration using tools like GitHub and Jira/Confluence.
• A collaborative attitude, an ever-growing curiosity, and a desire to win.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud deployment and container management.
• Familiarity with fintech or financial software systems.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.

Qualifications

• Experience developing solutions with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with operating systems and command-line tools.
