About the Role

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Software Integration, Architecture, and Analysis team. The role involves supporting software development on the Hoverfly program, delivering modeling and simulation solutions for orbital studies, system optimization, and mission analysis. Key Responsibilities

Help build and expand modeling and simulation capabilities for the Hoverfly program.
Support software development on an Agile development team.
Deliver modeling and simulation solutions to customers for studies on orbital trades, collection competition, scheduling parameter tuning, and tasking strategies.
Contribute to the development of software that informs system use and optimization.

Requirements

Software development experience in Python, Java, C#, C++, or a closely related language.
Experience working on teams using Agile practices.
Current TS/SCI security clearance.
5+ years of professional experience with software development.
Good written and oral communication skills.

Nice to Have

DevSecOps experience.
AI/ML experience.
Experience with Space ISR domain, especially GEOINT systems.
WSF Python experience.
AFSIM experience.
Active MQ experience.
CI/CD experience with Gitlab, Ansible, and/or Terraform.
Experience developing modeling and simulation software.
Java experience.
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics or a similar STEM discipline.
