About the Role

The Senior Software Engineer at 7-Eleven, Inc. is responsible for applying functional and technical knowledge to develop and support retail merchandising modules, including Retail Merchandising System (RMS), Retail Sales Audit (ReSA), Retail Price Management (RPM), Retail Invoice Management (ReIM), and Retail Analytics (RA). The role involves working with Oracle Retail Application Software and Oracle Retail Merchandising Operation Management (MOM) modules, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. The position offers a telecommute role, allowing remote work from anywhere in the US.

Key Responsibilities

Apply functional and technical knowledge in merchandising modules such as RMS, ReSA, RPM, ReIM, and RA, as well as Perpetual Inventory and Stock Ledger.
Work with Oracle Retail Application Software and Oracle Retail MOM modules to develop solutions.
Translate business requirements into solution design and technical implementation.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through interaction with business users.
Perform requirements analysis, low-level design, development, unit testing, and peer review for new developments.
Review architecture and provide recommendations to meet project needs.
Coordinate with offshore teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Partner with product vendors to finalize custom solutions and explain existing systems/processes.
Drive end-to-end issue resolution, including understanding Oracle Retail processes and integrations.
Implement configurations in lower environments and assist with testing and UAT.
Identify and proactively solve problems related to retail applications and integrations.
Apply Agile/Scrum methodologies and retail accounting knowledge.
Build complex ETL code and SQL queries using Oracle DB, optimize data structures, and improve code performance.
Collaborate with cross-domain financial solution teams and business partners to develop and test cross-functional solutions.
Use technologies including Oracle SQL, Pro*C, Unix Shell Scripting, PL/SQL, and Python to execute tasks.

Requirements

Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 8 years of progressive experience as a software engineer or in a related role.
8 years of experience with Oracle modules: RMS, RPM, ReIM, and ReSA.
8 years of experience with SQL, Pro*C, and Unix Shell Scripting.
5 years of experience with programming languages including PL/SQL and Python.
Experience working remotely from anywhere in the US.
