Senior Software Engineer - Cybersecurity

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development with emphasis on backend cloud services and cybersecurity best practices.
• Design, develop, and debug complex software systems for the automotive sector.
• Identify software defects; fix reported bugs and support operations.
• Write unit tests and integration tests, and ensure code quality for your assigned work.
• Work in an Agile scrum environment, attending Sprint cadences and collaborating with team members to deliver software.
• Work closely with stakeholders, team members, and the Scrum Master to ensure the delivery of committed User stories per Sprint.
• Provide value-added research on automotive cybersecurity software and analysis to counsel management, solve connected vehicle ecosystem cybersecurity problems, and advise Managers as a strategic business partner.
• Support management with research, analysis, advice, and strategic input.
• Make basic contributions to management and solve intermediate to complex business problems.
• Act as a strategic business partner to Managers.

Requirements

• Experience with writing scalable and secure code using best coding practices and design patterns.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in CS, EE, CECS, or equivalent, or equivalent professional experience.
• Highly proficient in a strongly typed language such as Golang, Java, .NET Core, C/C++, with experience in enterprise-level applications.
• Experience developing with AWS core resources and technologies such as DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, SSM parameters, Secret Manager, AppConfig, etc.
• Experience working in an Agile scrum environment and participating in SDLC project cadences.

Nice to Have

• Experience building backend services in Golang deployed in AWS.
• Experience working on SPA frontend applications using React.
• CISSP, CISA, and/or relevant cybersecurity certifications.
• Knowledge of applied cryptography, cryptographic algorithms, and proofs.
• Domain expertise in cloud security, embedded security, and mobile application security.
• Domain expertise in the automotive industry, quality, regulatory, product planning, or manufacturing processes.

Qualifications
