About the Role

Join HubSpot's Marketplace Product Group, where we connect our customers with essential goods and services, including apps, from our diverse partner ecosystem. Our mission is to empower partners and developers by simplifying the process of listing and distributing products through our marketplaces, and to support end customers in finding and adopting solutions on HubSpot's platform. The Marketplace Framework team is working to deliver a unified, schema-driven marketplace for HubSpot, enabling rapid product launches and better solutions for small businesses and developers. As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will help build core data models, integrations, and automation to support this vision, collaborating closely with internal teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build the core data models that will power all current and future marketplace products at HubSpot.
Build integrations between the marketplace and internal teams to create a unified product and feature model.
Improve and automate parts of the product listing process to enable faster launch of new product types and features.
Work with product management and design to develop the product strategy and team roadmap.
Mentor engineers on your team and support their career growth.
Ensure the team is building performant, reliable software.

Requirements

Experience designing and building data models and integrations in a backend environment.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with product management and design teams.
Proficiency in building reliable and performant software systems.
Excitement about in-person collaboration and working in a team environment.
Technical background suitable for a senior engineering role, including relevant experience in backend development.

Nice to Have

Experience with marketplace platforms or schema-driven product architectures.
Familiarity with internal platform integrations and developer-facing features.
Previous experience mentoring engineering teams.

Qualifications

Relevant professional experience in backend software engineering.
Proven ability to design scalable data models and integrations.
Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional teams.

Benefits & Perks

Annual Cash Compensation Range: $181,900 - $291,000 USD, including base salary, commission, and bonus targets.
Eligibility for HubSpot's equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs).
