About the Role

Solutionreach is hiring for a Senior Software Engineer-JAVA. This role is located in Lehi, Utah. As a Senior Software Engineer, you are an expert working in a Kanban environment, taking issues from our prioritized board and working them to completion. Our backlog includes bugs, new feature development, integration with third-party providers, and occasionally architecting new features or enhancements. The code primarily consists of Java web applications running on Tomcat, with the use of Spring Framework, and opportunities to work on UI components using Vue.js. The role involves both backend and frontend development, with a focus on optimizing legacy code, improving performance, security, and stability, and collaborating with a team on new product features.

Key Responsibilities

Work in a Kanban environment, taking issues from the prioritized board and completing them.
Develop and refactor Java web applications using Tomcat and Spring Framework.
Contribute to UI development by writing user functionality using Vue.js and creating new components.
Optimize and improve legacy code for performance, security, and stability.
Collaborate with team members on architecting new product features.
Participate in weekly sprints, with code commits and releases most Thursdays.
Communicate effectively with team members, raising concerns and sharing ideas early in the development process.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and resolve problems or issues as they arise.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in full-stack development using the Java EE Framework with Spring.
Deep knowledge of reactive JS UI frameworks such as Vue.js.
Experience analyzing and optimizing legacy code for performance, security, and stability.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with weekly sprints and frequent releases.
Familiarity with database technologies like PostgreSQL and Cassandra.

Nice to Have

Experience working in a Kanban environment.
Experience with architecting new features or enhancements.
Experience working with third-party integrations.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Java EE Framework with Spring.
Experience with Vue.js or similar reactive JS UI frameworks.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Cassandra databases.
