Senior Software Engineer (JavaScript), SDK

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Join the JavaScript SDK team and work on a suite of JavaScript SDKs, with a focus on the Next.js SDK, to empower millions of developers.
• Take end-to-end ownership of your work, including planning, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and focus on solving complex problems.
• Collaborate with open-source communities such as TC39 and OpenTelemetry SIG to influence JavaScript standards.
• Assist Customer Operations in fixing critical bugs and interact directly with users on GitHub and at industry conferences.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, web developer, or similar role.
• Deep expertise in developing web applications, libraries, or SDKs using TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate to the area.

• Contributing to or maintaining open-source libraries.
• Experience engaging with open-source committees or working groups.
