About the Role

A hospitality company is looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their Digital team. This team is responsible for the company's guest mobile application, their 42 resort websites, and capital project work. The position involves supporting their guest mobile application, general backend development, and small seasonal projects. The role is fully remote, requires sitting in PST or MST zones, and offers a 3-month contract with potential extension. Key Responsibilities

Supporting the company's guest mobile application and backend development work.
Contributing to small seasonal start projects related to backend systems.
Working with technologies such as C# and .NET Core to develop and maintain backend services.
Utilizing event streaming and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Requirements

7+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
Deep understanding of microservices architecture patterns.
Experience with event-driven architectures and message queuing systems.
Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Strong experience with Azure cloud services, including AKS, Service Bus, APIM, Monitor, and App Insights.

Nice to Have

Experience with Azure cloud services beyond those listed.
Knowledge of additional cloud or backend technologies.

Qualifications

Formal experience or background in backend software engineering.
