About the Role

They are seeking a highly motivated and talented Senior Software Engineer with a strong interest in the design, development, and maintenance of full-stack AI-based enterprise applications to join their team. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and validate software products that support customer missions, focusing on program sustainment and modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Work on program sustainment and modernization efforts spanning the product lifecycle, including customer engagement, requirements definition, software/hardware development & integration, system testing & validation, deployment, and maintenance.
Collaborate closely with the program team engaging engineers from systems, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and software to ensure product delivery with minimal operational impact.
Perform software engineering activities including application development, maintenance, testing, integration, and documentation to ensure proper operation within factory environments.
Adhere to development standards and processes, participate in peer reviews, maintain test environments & coverage, and provide feedback for product improvements.
Support program Product Owners in executing sustainment and/or modernization tasks.
Work within the Engineering Team to ensure system reliability, maintainability, and deployability while meeting operational performance requirements.

Requirements

Software and system-level debugging experience, including ability to identify problems in established code and make modifications.
Experience using Agile methodologies, Atlassian/Jira, automation tools, Junit, Linux command line, shell or python scripting, and Cross Domain System (CDS).
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of experience, or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date.

Nice to Have

Configuration Management experience.
Experience with Selenium.
Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
RHEL certification.
Security+ certification.

Qualifications

Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with relevant experience as specified.
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
