Senior Software Engineer, Project Starline

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Write and test product or system development code.
• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Own power management and boot sequence of devices.
• Lead design, implementation, and validation of power management policies, firmware update policies, and peripheral services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• Experience developing accessible technologies.
• Experience in developing software for custom hardware and software.
• Experience in full software stacks including Android/ChromeOS, Linux drivers, applications, and application automation.
• Experience in the configuration of various network devices and services (Routers, Firewalls, VPN, Proxy Connections, MPLS, QoS, etc).

Qualifications

• Educational background including a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with software development, testing, and architecture.

Benefits & Perks

• US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
• Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay influenced by work location, skills, experience, and education.
