Senior, Software Engineer - Python, Gen AI Developer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead by example a team of 3-4 members and demonstrate exceptional development skills.
• Apply up-to-date expertise to develop, execute, and improve action plans, providing guidance and best practices.
• Identify short and long-term solutions, review and approve proposed solutions, implement new architectural patterns, and perform design and code reviews.
• Support the business for new and existing systems by responding to user questions, concerns, and issues, researching solutions, and guiding implementation.
• Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information, performing root cause analysis, engaging support teams, developing solutions, and documenting actions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building scalable applications.
• Experience with Python, including integrating pre-trained GPT models or Gemini, developing text pre-processing modules, and implementing API endpoints using frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
• Experience with integrating safety modules to filter harmful or biased outputs.
• Experience building user interfaces with React, managing state with Redux or Context API, and creating intuitive UI for content review and iteration.
• Experience with API Gateway development using Node.js and frameworks like Express.js.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment tools such as Jenkins and Maven.
• Strong experience with Web Services platforms, scalable cloud-native microservices, and designing/building APIs.
• Proficiency with Cloud Technologies like Azure and GCP.
• Strong expertise in Java/Python and Design Patterns.

Nice to Have

• Background in creating inclusive digital experiences and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
• Knowledge of assistive technologies and digital accessibility best practices.

Qualifications

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
• Option 2: 5 years' experience in software engineering or related area.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 1 year's experience in software engineering or related area.
