About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer you will design and develop software applications to include design, code, debug, test, and troubleshoot throughout the application development process. You will maintain and enhance software systems by fixing complicated errors. You will be expected to analyze problems, identify and develop solutions independently. You will also be expected to be familiar with the principles and practices of existing software systems development and have a deep knowledge of IT automation principles and how they can be applied to multi-disciplinary enterprise solutions. You will be expected to develop Orchestration and Automation Platform content strategy and prototype code and work closely with the engineering team designing and building new features and monitoring software development functions and characteristics.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop software applications including coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting.
Maintain and enhance existing software systems by fixing complex errors.
Analyze problems and develop solutions independently.
Develop Orchestration and Automation Platform content strategy and prototype code.
Collaborate with the engineering team to design and build new features.
Monitor software development functions and characteristics.

Requirements

U.S Citizenship
DoD Secret Clearance
10+ years of software engineering experience
Proven experience as a software architect
Experience with Splunk Phantom, Red Hat - Ansible, Java, Spark, Python, YAML, vRealize Automation (vRA), and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO)
Knowledge of automation best practices and principles
Knowledge of REST, SOAP, and API testing
Experience with Linux-based operating systems
Ability to perform tasks under limited supervision
Bachelor's Degree or related work experience
