About the Role

Our team is the Enterprise Resilience and Incident Management Team (ERIM) & Global Health and Life Safety Team (GHLS) which impacts all Bloomberg teams and business units. Our main goal is to ensure the resilience, health, and safety of everyone who enters the Bloomberg office. The GHLS program aims to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of all Bloomberg employees and vendors, when at work, home and on the road. This also includes our guests and visitors when on-site at our offices and attending Bloomberg hosted events. The GHLS team focuses its delivery across areas such as Business Support, Compliance, Exercise and Simulation, and Training. We are seeking a self-motivated senior software engineer with an interest in designing and building solutions to support our Business & Employees.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in designing and developing software using languages such as Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field of study, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with working in a test-driven development environment (unit testing frameworks like Unitest, Autotest, Pytest, etc.).
Expertise with any RDBM system like PostgreSQL, SQL Server.
Ability to quickly embrace and master new technologies and put them into practice.
Passion and strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Redis and Kafka.
Ability to operate within Agile methodologies.
Integration experience with 3rd party vendor systems.

Qualifications

Experience in software design and development.
Educational background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.

Salary range of $160,000 - $240,000 USD annually plus benefits and bonus.
