Senior Software Engineer (Universal Robots, India)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously improve, design, and innovate on our robot software.
• Collaborate closely with the whole product team, UX/UI and Product Designers on all stages in the software development process (ideation, concept development, validation, wireframing, prototyping, code review, final visual design, quality assurance etc.).
• Adhere to the lean and agile development process.
• Be part of the customer engagement, make product-specific decisions as a team, and participate actively in the overall product development process.
• Contribute to an engaging, motivating, positive and dynamic work atmosphere.

Requirements

• 5+ years of web development experience.
• Proficiency in Angular 18+.
• Experience with REST API integration.
• Knowledge of CSS or SASS/SCSS.
• Experience with responsive web design (Grid, Flex or similar).
• Automated testing experience through Cypress, and unit testing using Karma, Jest or Jasmine.
• Experience with Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Proficient in using Git for branching, merging, and pull requests.
• Experience with lean and/or agile development in teams.
• Experience working with Europe counterpart engineering teams.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience with robot applications, such as developing user interfaces for controlling or monitoring robotic systems.
• Experience integrating with robotics middleware (e.g., ROS/ROS2) or WebSocket-based data streams.
• Designing intuitive human-machine interfaces (HMI) for robotic workflows.
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, Figma integration).
• Backend web development in JAVA.
