About the Role

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to join their team in El Segundo, CA. This manager will serve as the Senior Satellite Software Products/Process Manager within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space Mission Systems (SMS) organization's Satellite Space Software Products group. The role involves leading program and organizational integration of multiple satellite software initiatives, managing diverse software engineering teams, and ensuring alignment with business and technical strategies for satellite programs. Key Responsibilities

Lead department and organizational development within the satellite software domain, including program integration of DevSecOps toolchains, software infrastructure, software development process governance, satellite data management products/services, and cybersecurity software.
Manage multiple inter-related teams of approximately 35 software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and partners, providing oversight of technical approaches, products, and processes.
Forecast, obtain, and manage personnel to meet project and organizational requirements, including deployment and scheduling.
Drive the implementation of DevSecOps toolchains and satellite infrastructure software, ensuring technical execution strategies are met.
Oversee satellite software process and metrics governance, including updates to policies, procedures, and plans.
Solve complex problems and work on multiple tasks simultaneously, with familiarity in managing development projects and industry practices.
Champion Agile software development, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance post-start.
5+ years of experience managing and/or leading a team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
3+ years of experience leading projects and/or individuals in software development lifecycle tasks.
3+ years of experience with modern software development methodologies.
Experience with DevSecOps practices.

Nice to Have

Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science from an accredited institution.
Experience in the satellite software domain.
Experience with DevSecOps / Continuous Integration (CI) using GitLab ecosystem.
Experience managing within a complex IPT to deliver results within budget, schedule, and performance requirements.
Experience working with diverse software product owners and systems engineering teams to integrate software into complex systems.
Experience with EVMS within an Agile framework.
An existing/active Top-Secret/SCI U.S. Security clearance.

Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (Top Secret/SCI).
