About the Role

Leidos National Security Sector, Decision Advantage Business Area, Office of Technology, is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to drive innovative solutions addressing rapidly evolving threats and customer needs in the DoD and mission partner space capabilities arena. The role focuses on developing and integrating advanced systems in Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3), cyber technology, electronic warfare, digital infrastructure, mission planning (MP), and command and control (C2) systems, with an emphasis on software-based solutions. The position supports engagements with the U.S. Air Force, particularly collaborating with the Information Dominance Systems Center and AFLCMC/HB, to shape contributions to Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). It involves working across multiple sectors, pursuing mission-critical programs, and leveraging enterprise capabilities in a hybrid work environment with travel requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) and related mission solutions applicable across defense and mission partner initiatives to achieve Combined/Joint All-Domain C2 objectives.
  • Helps transition a broad strategic vision to an agile technology- and partnership-based execution plan, prioritizing and executing internal and customer-funded efforts for near, mid, and long-term goals.
  • Integrates capabilities to address emerging customer needs, including classified missions.
  • Participates in strategy development and updates aligned with strategy implementation.
  • Develops innovative solutions combining data integration, mission planning, C2 systems, and capabilities from mid-TRL to operational sustainment for national security applications.
  • Works with technical staff and Business Development personnel to understand customer needs and lead development of solutions impacting strategic project and business results.
  • Performs technical execution leadership on customer- and internally-funded programs and projects.
  • Secures cross-organization buy-in on solutions and facilitates acceptance of new concepts and practices.

Requirements

  • Masters degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with 17+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability in technical leadership to translate strategic vision into an agile action plan with demonstrated business impact.
  • Experience developing and maturing strategy aligned with customer, corporate, and mission objectives.
  • Ability to form industry and international partnerships to address challenging customer missions.
  • Experience working with or supporting U.S. Air Force organizations, including AFLCMC/HB.
  • Broad understanding of BMC3 systems, JADC2, DoD concepts, and frameworks, including classified command and control systems.
  • Experience leading the development of innovative solutions for major capture and proposal efforts, balancing cost, schedule, and quality considerations.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in business development, capture efforts, white papers, proposals, and briefings.
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one, with eligibility for Special Access Programs.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, edge computing, and advanced analytics.
  • Direct experience supporting or collaborating with JADC2 efforts, e.g., Joint Fires Network, Overmatch.
  • Recent experience with key customers or programs, e.g., AFLCMC/PEO digital, PEO Mission Command.
  • Experience architecting and delivering solutions across multiple operational domains.
  • Support of and participation in transitioning programs from capture/proposal to execution.
  • Familiarity with secured data including multi-level classified data.

Qualifications

  • Educational background: Masters or Bachelor's degree as specified.
  • Relevant experience as detailed in requirements.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one.

Benefits & Perks

  • Pay range from $148,850.00 to $269,075.00.
  • Hybrid work environment (75% telework, 25% onsite).
  • Travel approximately 25% of the time.
