About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Video Producer and Editor to join our digital marketing team and lead the visual storytelling efforts for Layton Construction. We want someone who will raise the bar for construction marketing content, build beyond conventional limits of construction videos, establish new creative and digital standards, and think like an entrepreneur while working for an established industry leader. This role involves turning construction into cinema by creating inspiring visual narratives that showcase Layton's expertise and innovation from concept to final cut, elevating our brand and demonstrating why we're leaders in construction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and production of construction-related video content to elevate brand presence and storytelling.
Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, collaborating with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
Operate independently on location, traveling up to 30% nationwide to capture footage and interviews at jobsites and offices.
Adhere strictly to all jobsite safety protocols and wear required PPE during on-site shooting.
Build and manage a comprehensive video content library.
Translate complex technical concepts into engaging visual content and develop content strategies for B2B audiences.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 years professional video production and editing experience.
Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition).
Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Advanced skills in color correction, audio mixing, and motion graphics.
Experience with social media and streaming platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
Camera operation expertise for challenging environments, including active construction sites.
Drone operation and Part 107 certification; experience with FPV drones is a significant advantage.
Ability to adapt video content for multiple formats including social media, websites, presentations, and trade shows.
Strong storytelling, script writing, and visual composition skills.
Experience developing content strategies for B2B audiences.

Nice to Have

Proficiency in Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Cinema 4D or similar 3D software.
Portfolio demonstrating construction, industrial, or technical content.
Experience creating technical or educational videos.
Examples of on-camera work or interview segments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Digital Media, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
