Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Sentinel program as a Sr Staff Engineer DevOps in Melbourne, FL.
  • Work on revolutionary systems impacting national security and technological advancement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, container technologies, and cloud virtualization solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cybersecurity standards and RMF governance are met.
  • Utilize build tools, continuous integration environments, scripting languages, and virtualization platforms to support system development and deployment.

Requirements

  • 14 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 12 years with Master's, 10 years with PhD, or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree in related field.
  • US Citizenship with an active DoD Secret clearance and a reinvestigation within the last 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • 12 years experience with build tools (e.g., Maven, Ant, GNU make) and/or CI environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo).
  • Experience with repositories such as Nexus or JFROG.
  • IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 12 years experience with Jira/Confluence in an Agile environment.
  • Proficiency with Linux-based software development tools and experience with Microsoft and Red Hat Linux operating systems.
  • 12 years experience with scripting languages (PERL, Python, Bash, YAML).
  • 12 years experience with Kubernetes, VMware Cloud Foundation, Terraform, vCenter, vSphere, or similar virtualization and container technologies.
  • Experience developing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills.
  • Experience with cybersecurity technologies, NIST standards, and RMF governance.
  • Proficiency with DOORS, Cameo, and ability to write and decompose system and software requirements.
  • Experience with Product Owner and Product Manager responsibilities.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance with recent reinvestigation.
  • Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or equivalent.
  • Experience with source code management tools like Git.
  • Experience with HashiCorp Packer and Vault.
  • Familiarity with container hardening and SBOM.
  • SAP access.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (implied by experience requirements).
