About the Role

The ServiceNow Architect will lead the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions supporting government contracts. The role requires a strong background in ServiceNow platform architecture, government compliance standards, and delivering ServiceNow capabilities within the federal environment. The position involves technical leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and ensuring solutions meet security and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design of ServiceNow solutions tailored to meet government contract requirements, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Work closely with government clients, project managers, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow architectures.
  • Provide guidance during the development, configuration, and deployment of ServiceNow modules, with a focus on Security Operations and Integrated Risk Management.
  • Ensure all ServiceNow solutions adhere to government regulations such as FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST, and other relevant standards.
  • Serve as a technical expert and mentor for development teams, ensuring best practices in configuration, scripting, and integrations.
  • Design and implement integrations with other government systems and data sources using APIs, web services, and connectors.
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and progress reports for stakeholders and auditors.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates, government compliance requirements, and industry best practices to recommend improvements and innovations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • 15+ years total experience supporting government or federal contracts.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing ServiceNow solutions, with emphasis on SecOps and IRM.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, workflows, scripting (JavaScript), and integrations.
  • Familiarity with government security standards and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with REST, SOAP, LDAP, and other integration technologies.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator required within 30 days of hire.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer required within 30 days of hire.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (Security Operations, IRM) required within 30 days of hire.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government public trust clearance.

Nice to Have

  • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect.
  • Additional security or compliance certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
