About the Role

ECS is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to work in our Washington, DC office. The role involves supporting end-to-end ServiceNow implementations and delivery goals, with some light ServiceNow administration duties. The position will leverage knowledge and experience to deliver automated solutions including workflow customization, ticketing, process automation, report development, dashboard creation, and system configurations. The candidate will be part of the Cybersecurity Engineering team that manages, optimizes, and automates tools used by the broader enterprise. This is a full-time position supporting a US Government civilian agency, available immediately upon finding a qualified candidate with the appropriate background clearance.

Key Responsibilities

Support end-to-end ServiceNow implementations and delivery goals.
Perform light ServiceNow administration duties.
Design, develop, and implement custom applications and workflows in ServiceNow.
Create reports and dashboards, and customize forms within ServiceNow.
Leverage knowledge to deliver automated solutions including workflow customization, ticketing, process automation, report development, dashboard creation, and system configurations.
Translate business requirements, map user flows, and investigate technical options within existing ServiceNow products.
Support integration of ServiceNow with other systems using web services (REST, SOAP) and other methods.
Work within Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in ServiceNow development.
Deep expertise in ITSM modules such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.
Proven ability to design, develop, and implement custom applications and workflows in ServiceNow.
Experience creating reports, dashboards, and customized forms in ServiceNow.
Extensive experience with JavaScript, including client-side and server-side scripting, and ServiceNow APIs.
Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, security model, and best practices.
Experience with ServiceNow version control, update sets, and application deployment.
Experience with ServiceNow integrations using web services (REST, SOAP) and other methods.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
