About the Role

An employer in Houston, TX is looking for a ServiceNow Developer to join their team. This person will be responsible for solving challenges across the full breadth of IT service delivery and enabling people to deliver value across multiple business units. The role involves support and maintenance for all ITOM related modules, creating and implementing workflows, developing custom integrations, improving architecture, performing system administration and upgrades, and working with reporting and ticketing systems. The position offers a pay range of $60-70/hr and emphasizes creating inclusive environments where individuals can bring their full, authentic selves to work.

Key Responsibilities

Support and maintain all ITOM related module work including ITOM Event Management and ITOM integration.
Create and implement new workflows, business rules, and UI pages using ServiceNow's scripting languages and web technologies.
Develop and maintain custom integrations between ServiceNow and other IT systems.
Consult with platform architects to improve architecture, promote innovative approaches, and share knowledge.
Perform system administrative and development functions within the ServiceNow platform, including configuration and customization.
Conduct system upgrade activities such as testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and fixing defects.
Work heavily with ServiceNow reporting, assisting with existing reports and creating new reports based on business needs.
Assist with resolving user issues through the ticketing system.
Provide day-to-day and after-hours support as required.

Requirements

5+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
Strong understanding and knowledge of the different ServiceNow modules, specifically ITOM.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting and supporting ITOM Event Management and ITOM Integration.
Experience working with ServiceNow reporting and creating reports.
Experience working with the latest ServiceNow versions Utah, Vancouver, and/or Xanadu.
Willing and able to provide support 24x7 as needed.
Knowledge of basic software development concepts.
Familiarity with DevOps and Agile concepts and methodologies.
Familiarity with ITIL concepts.
Basic understanding of IT service delivery and support processes.

Nice to Have

Previous Oil & Gas industry experience.

Qualifications

Experience with ServiceNow development and ITOM modules.
Knowledge of ServiceNow versions Utah, Vancouver, and Xanadu.
