Social Media & Content Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute an engaging social media calendar and strategy on Instagram and Facebook including planning, scheduling, posting, and community management.
• Spearhead growth of our TikTok channel through relevant, creative content.
• Create platform‑native, trend‑responsive Reels, TikToks, and Stories showcasing products, brand lifestyle, and seasonal moments.
• Foster our community of fans and customers by responding and engaging with comments, messages, and inquiries.
• Research, identify, and manage a network and roster of aligned creators and influencers (macro & micro) for UGC and influencer campaigns.
• Develop and execute influencer and ambassador strategy including outreach, contracting, and product gifting.
• Launch and manage UGC‑driven campaigns with clear creative briefs, direction, influencer seeding, and content curation.
• Build and maintain an internal Ambassador Toolkit with brand guidelines, talking points, affiliate promo codes, and posting cadence.
• Source, curate, and produce a pipeline of versatile video content aligned with brand voice and campaign goals.
• Concept, film, and edit attention-grabbing short‑form and UGC video content for brand storytelling and product highlights.
• Assist in coordinating seasonal brand shoots (e.g., Spring, Summer, Fall, Holiday).
• Monitor social KPIs, analytics, content performance, and influencer ROI; report regularly with insights and optimization recommendations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in social media, influencer marketing, or content creation.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
• Proven track record of creating engaging IG Reels, TikToks, and other short‑form video content.
• Visual storytelling skills with attention to detail and a knack for quick, compelling narratives.
• Proficiency with mobile editing tools (CapCut, Adobe Rush, Edits, Canva) and basic graphic design.
• Experience with scheduling calendar tools (Hootsuite, PLANN, etc) and familiarity with Google Suite.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of TikTok and Instagram trends and platform best practices.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, creative, proactive, and collaborative skills.

Nice to Have

• A genuine passion for or connection to surf, skate, beach, or outdoor culture.
• Comfort as an on‑camera or VO (voiceover) presence.
