Social Media Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day social media presence across multiple platforms.
• Create and schedule content, including graphics, videos, and posts.
• Track, analyze, and report on digital engagement metrics.
• Coordinate with media, marketing, and technical staff to align social content with overall campaign goals.
• Support crisis communications and rapid response social media activities.
• Ensure content is Section 508 compliant and accessible.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience managing social media for organizations or campaigns.
• Demonstrated skill in creating digital content.
• Strong understanding of analytics and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of public health issues.

Nice to Have

• Experience with social media advertising and paid campaigns.
• Familiarity with federal government communication processes.
• Basic graphic design or video editing skills.
