About the Role

We are hiring several Software Engineers for an A&D company located in Boston Metro area. Positions offer schedule flexibility (Hybrid), as well as full time benefits package and OT pay. The role involves solving a wide variety of problems involving networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and more, while making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs. You will be part of the Maritime Software team, working closely with vehicle platform software engineers to ensure seamless integration and successful outcomes. The company is focused on transforming military capabilities with advanced technology, including autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking, leveraging Lattice OS for real-time data processing and command.

Key Responsibilities

Solve a wide variety of problems involving networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and more.
Work in a tight feedback loop with vehicle platform software engineers to ensure products work together effectively.
Make pragmatic engineering tradeoffs while executing in an expedient, scalable, and pragmatic way.
Develop software solutions involving significant data processing and analysis.
Contribute to feature and algorithm development, including understanding of behavior trees.
Develop software and hardware for flight systems and safety-critical functionalities.
Work with distributed communication networks and message standards.

Requirements

Strong engineering experience from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
4+ years of experience with C++, Python, or Rust in a Linux development environment.
Experience in programming for robotic systems, vehicles, or systems relied upon by customers.
Experience building software solutions involving large data processing and analysis.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Experience with RTOS (Nix, VxWorks, etc.).
Payload experience for underwater systems.
Knowledge of mathematics, physics, or science.
Experience with feature and algorithm development, including behavior trees.
Experience developing software/hardware for flight systems and safety-critical functionalities.
Knowledge of distributed communication networks and message standards.
Understanding of military systems and operational tactics.
Active Secret Clearance preferred but not required.

Nice to Have

Experience with Lattice OS or similar AI-powered operating systems.
Experience with sensor fusion, computer vision, or AI technologies.
Knowledge of defense or military technology environments.

Qualifications

Educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
4+ years of relevant software development experience.
