About the Role

The position of Software Developer Intern at Telos Corporation involves contributing to the development of security-focused web applications, particularly in the areas of cyber, cloud, and enterprise security. The internship provides exposure to modern frontend development, testing, and collaboration within a security-conscious environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, document, and test production-grade Angular frontend applications
Apply design patterns and best coding practices, participating in design and code reviews
Develop and maintain thorough and automated unit test harnesses
Collaborate with the team to deliver platform enhancements
Conduct code walkthroughs and quality assurance with development teams
Develop web-accessible and modern browser-compatible code

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
Experience with NodeJS/NPM
Development experience using Angular 14+, CSS3, and HTML5
Experience consuming RESTful API
Understanding of web security vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, etc.)
Experience with Angular unit tests using Jasmine/Karma or Jest
Experience with GIT
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional attitude, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills

Nice to Have

Experience with WCAG
Experience with SCSS
Experience with Cypress
Experience writing Bash scripts
Experience consuming GraphQL API
Experience with Angular/frontend performance tuning
Experience with Java, Python, SQL, Postgres
