About the Role

The Software Developer Mid will be part of the Core Services Team responsible for architecting, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level, mission-critical applications. The team focuses on high-availability solutions that support organizational needs, including cloud-based development using AWS, front-end development with React, and adherence to Agile and SAFe methodologies. The role involves full lifecycle management of applications, from analysis to deployment and ongoing support, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable solutions that align with strategic goals within a fast-growing high-tech company serving federal government clients.

Key Responsibilities

Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs to meet business needs.
Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions, ensuring alignment with performance, quality, interface, and security requirements.
Designs and customizes software applications for client use, optimizing operational efficiency and user experience.
Develops and integrates cloud-based applications using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, and DynamoDB for scalability, security, and performance.
Implements front-end development to create responsive and intuitive user interfaces.
Works with databases, performing design, analysis, and coordination for database development as part of a team.
Manages software development using Atlassian tools like Bitbucket and Jira, supporting CI/CD pipelines.
Ensures adherence to Agile methodologies, particularly within the SAFe framework, for iterative development and feature prioritization.
Follows industry-standard practices for unit testing, integration testing, and automated deployment to ensure quality.
Provides ongoing maintenance and support, including system performance monitoring, incident response, and applying patches and updates.

Requirements

Active Secret Clearance or higher.
Five or more years of experience in a related field.
Proficiency in cloud-based application development using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, and DynamoDB.
Experience in front-end development using React.
Experience with Atlassian tools such as Bitbucket and Jira for code management and project tracking.
Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, and SAFe.
Ability to analyze user needs and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
Knowledge of industry-standard testing and deployment practices.

Nice to Have

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

Qualifications

Active Secret Clearance or higher.
Five or more years of relevant experience.
