Software Developer Senior

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs to meet business needs.
• Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions, ensuring alignment with performance, quality, interface, and security requirements.
• Designs and customizes software applications for client use, optimizing operational efficiency and user experience.
• Develops and integrates cloud-based applications using AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB) for scalability, security, and performance.
• Implements front-end development to create responsive and intuitive user interfaces.
• Works with databases, performing design, analysis, and coordination for database development as part of a team.
• Manages software development using Atlassian tools like Bitbucket for code repositories and Jira for project tracking, supporting CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensures adherence to Agile methodologies, particularly within the SAFe framework, for iterative development and prioritization of features.
• Provides ongoing maintenance and support, including monitoring system performance, responding to incidents, and implementing patches to ensure application reliability and security.
• Participates in all required SAFe ceremonies, including Program Increment (PI) Planning, Iteration Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Plans and coordinates with all teams within the Value Streams to ensure alignment and cross-functional collaboration.
• Fosters transparency through regular progress updates and continuous communication with stakeholders.
• Participates in System Demos and demonstrates completed work to stakeholders at the end of each iteration.
• Uses work management tools like JIRA and Confluence for managing work, tracking progress, and documenting deliverables.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance or higher
• Seven (7) or more years of experience in related field
• Proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lake Formation, and Lambda
• Experience developing and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines
• Ability to collaborate with data domain teams to design and deploy data products
• Understanding of data governance practices including privacy, access controls, and lineage
• Experience with data governance tools to automate workflows and uphold data integrity
• Experience in software development, including front-end and back-end development
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SAFe practices
• Experience with Atlassian tools like Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance
• Seven or more years of relevant experience
