Software Developer - SMA & Muni Trading

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support live trading systems by coding through deployment, building expertise, domain knowledge, and relationships with users and the broader tech team.
• Write full stack code using .NET Core, SQL, and AngularJS/React.
• Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select the best technologies.
• Review code developed by other developers, providing feedback to ensure adherence to best practices such as style guidelines, code accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content, adapting it based on product or program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues, debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing their sources and impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of professional work experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and solid development capability.
• Willingness to learn, grow, and become a key member of the team.
• Strong team player, collaborating with over 15 developers globally across California, Cyprus, Dallas, and beyond.
• Ability to perform code archaeology as business functionality is consolidated onto strategic platforms.
• Commitment to supporting users and releases with post-deploy validation.
• Commercial approach with an owner’s/owner’s ethos.
• Focus on non-functional requirements such as logging, supportability, automation, and trader workflow.

Nice to Have

• Experience with trading systems or finance is not required but would be advantageous.
• Experience with cloud-based service platforms.

• Educational background in computer science, engineering, or related fields.

• Salary Range: $145,500.00 - $168,000.00.
