About the Role

We're the Transact Global (TAG) team at WEX, the driving force behind our cutting-edge open-loop payment processing platform. Built from the ground up with an agile mindset and a cloud-native architecture leveraging Go, MongoDB, and Terraform, TAG processes millions of transactions daily, powering a critical part of WEX's global payment network. We're a team of innovators pushing the boundaries of payments technology as we continue to operationalize and scale our product. Key Responsibilities

Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code.
Quickly pick up new technologies and seamlessly switch between tech stacks.
Work across the full stack, including front-end web applications (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js), back-end services built with Go, NoSQL data stores like MongoDB, and infrastructure systems such as AWS and Terraform.
Design, architect, and engineer software solutions with a strong understanding of development principles.
Support and develop cloud-based infrastructure, preferably on AWS.
Implement modern APIs (e.g., RESTful) and encryption schemes.
Collaborate within agile teams to deliver software iteratively and collaboratively.
Tackle complex technical challenges with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of software development experience, including experience developing and supporting cloud-based infrastructure as code.
Experience with Go programming language.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

Strong proficiency with Go programming language.
Experience with Kafka, AWS, and MongoDB.
Experience with automated deployment pipelines.
Examples of passion projects or contributions to open-source projects.
Passion for technology and a desire to learn and grow.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
At least 3 years of software development experience.
Experience with cloud infrastructure and Go programming language.
