Software Development Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of service development activities including design, prioritization, coding, code review, testing, bug fixing, and deployment.
• Implement and maintain robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response to ensure high uptime and quality of service.
• Lead incident response efforts during outages or performance issues and conduct post-mortem analyses to prevent recurrence.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks and seek continuous improvement of the product and processes.
• Build and maintain detailed documentation for software architecture, design, and implementation.
• Develop and evolve test automation infrastructure to increase scale and velocity, ensuring quality of services and end-to-end product experience.
• Collaborate with UI/SDK developers, product managers, and designers to resolve solutions.
• Participate in story mapping, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning/demos on a two-week cycle.
• Work independently to deliver sophisticated functionality.
• Prototype ideas and concepts quickly and research recent trends and technologies.
• Communicate clearly with team and management to define and achieve goals.
• Mentor and grow junior team members.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree.
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing web or software applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Dedication to teamwork, self-organization, and continuous improvement.
• Proven experience in backend development with languages such as Java, Node.js, or Python.
• Experience in running cloud infrastructure, including AWS or Azure, Kubernetes, GitOps, Terraform, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in setting up SLAs/SLOs/SLIs and establishing monitoring around them.
• Experience in writing functional, integration, and performance tests and test frameworks.
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Kafka and Zookeeper is a plus.
• Experience with Mobile Application development is a plus.
• Experience in working on marketing tools domain is a plus.
