Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with Sr Engineers on technical requirements and design alignment, creating shared understanding, vision & goals.
- Present ideas and concepts to Product & Engineering leadership audiences, communicating design concepts & considerations in context of product functional requirements.
- Work closely with the product team to prototype and iterate on design experiments.
- Closely mentor junior engineers, helping them understand product requirements and design solutions, while encouraging them to achieve their career aspirations & goals.
- Leading through example with technical excellence, recognized as a thoughtful & inspirational engineer.
Requirements
- 4+ years designing, building, and operating high-scale, production-grade services.
- 6+ years of development using technologies Java/Kotlin, Python, Spring, Webflux or equivalents.
- 2+ years working with software design patterns, architectural standards, and scalable system design.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field or professional experience.
- Strong understanding of information security frameworks, security standards and guidelines.
- Familiarity of LLMs and their strengths, limitations in personal or work use.
- Experience with Workday Architecture, APIs (REST, Graph & SOAP), UI Framework, Business Process Framework, & Reporting.
- Development experience with one or more Hyperscaler stacks (AWS, GCP).
- Have a systems engineering approach to diagnosing and resolving production issues.
- Experience developing in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Workday Architecture, APIs (REST, Graph & SOAP), UI Framework, Business Process Framework, & Reporting.
- Development experience with one or more Hyperscaler stacks (AWS, GCP).
- Familiarity of LLMs and their strengths, limitations in personal or work use.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field or professional experience.
