Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of new products and drive design for test excellence.
  • Participate on a project team of engineers involved in the specification, design, development and test of hardware.
  • Develop and implement test scripts using scripting languages such as Python and/or Go.
  • Develop web GUI interfaces for production test infrastructure and data mining using Web frameworks like Django and databases such as MariaDB.
  • Develop manufacturing test plans based on hardware and platform functional specifications.
  • Manage purchase, procurement, and release of testing infrastructure to support new and sustaining products.
  • Design for DFx: DFC, DFQ, DFM, DFR, DFT.
  • Perform new product and sustaining test engineering functions.
  • Participate in and lead defect reduction efforts, working with the Defect Reduction Team to identify issues and drive resolutions.
  • Establish technical direction through investigation and evaluation of new test technologies.
  • Improve manufacturing operations test processes to enhance efficiency, consistency, cost savings, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive evaluation and enhancement of the engineering design verification process to improve test yield and ensure zero design defects are released to production.
  • Develop test process and best practice documentation in conformance with manufacturing test procedures.
  • Debug complex system-level problems and define debug processes for test engineers at manufacturing sites.
  • Manage manufacturing test capacity, assets, and budget planning.
  • Provide technical support for systemic defects, line stops, material purges, and quality issues.
  • Maintain test programs and scripts at manufacturing sites.

Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer in manufacturing (college graduates with relevant intern experience considered).
  • Strong Object-Oriented programming knowledge, with proficiency in Python and/or GoLang as a bonus.
  • Foundational knowledge of Linux systems and networking concepts.
  • Experience with database queries, such as SQL.
  • Experience with version control software like Perforce or Git.
  • Basic knowledge of testing concepts.
  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

Nice to Have

  • Liquid cooled manufacturing processes experience.
  • Experience with systems tests for hardware and networking products.
  • Django experience for web-based GUI development.
  • Knowledge of web frameworks and data mining.
