Software Engineer-2 AI/ML

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating and maintaining products
• Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code
• Creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs
• Performs analysis on failures, proposes design changes, and encourages operational improvements
• Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront
• Takes feedback from code review and applies changes to meet standards
• Conducts code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures
• Ensures all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices
• Embeds software reliability engineering standards into development processes
• Contributes to a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement
• Reviews tasks critically and ensures they are appropriately prioritized and sized for incremental delivery; anticipates and communicates blockers and delays before escalation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• Three to five years of relevant experience
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java
• Strong SQL skills and database knowledge
• Experience with large scale real-time data ingestion and processing
• Understanding of big data system concepts and design methodology
• Experience in MLOps, machine learning, and GenAI
• Experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, and Darts
• Experience with Gen AI (SLM, LLM, embedding and RAG) and frameworks like langchain
• Experience with Azure Synapse, Azure ML Studio, Azure Open AI services, and Databricks
• Knowledge of modern server architecture such as Spring Boot
• Solid foundation in computer science, machine learning or computer vision, with hands-on experience in ML pipelines and infrastructure
• Knowledge of rules-based and machine learning recommender systems
• Experience in building microservices (a plus)
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes (a plus)
