About the Role

The Software Engineer role at Optum Services, Inc. involves researching, designing, and developing computer and network software, with a focus on Salesforce platforms and integrations. Key Responsibilities

Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
Execute full lifecycle software development and program well-designed, testable, efficient code using Salesforce and its features.
Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
Integrate Salesforce and custom AI models into Salesforce applications.
Design and optimize data models, schemas, and storage solutions within Salesforce.
Write unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure robustness, usability, and scalability of Salesforce applications.
Stay updated with Salesforce platform releases, new features, and best practices, and implement them to ensure system compliance.
Identify and address performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements to Salesforce implementations.
Conduct technical assessments of existing Salesforce implementations.
Develop migration strategies, technical roadmaps, and architecture blueprints to support future business needs and scalability.
Integrate other applications with Salesforce using Mulesoft.

Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Two (2) years of experience in a Software Engineer-related occupation or in the job offered.
Two (2) years of experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
Experience with Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Mulesoft.
Knowledge of integration concepts, OMNI Channel, JIRA, Agile concepts, REST/SOAP/BULK APIs, GraphQL, and ESB architecture.
Experience designing and developing custom applications on the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Visualforce, Web components, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and object-oriented programming.
Experience integrating Salesforce with other systems using REST and SOAP, middleware tools such as Mulesoft ESB and Salesforce Connect.
Designing Salesforce AI-powered predictive analytics using Salesforce Einstein.
Managing deployments with Salesforce DX and CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Jenkins.
Implementing security standards on Salesforce, including Multi-factor Authentication, Single Sign-On, Data Encryption, and Data Sharing rules.

Nice to Have

Experience with Salesforce Einstein AI features.
Knowledge of data encryption and security standards on Salesforce.
Experience with deployment tools like Salesforce DX, GitHub, and Jenkins.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
