As a Software Engineer within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. This position may not be available in all geographic locations. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops, tests and implements software solutions.
  • Designs software solutions to address business needs.
  • Writes code, tests and deploys software.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintains and debugs software.

Requirements

  • Application Development, Business Management, Customer Solutions, Design, Group Problem Solving, Process Improvements, Release Management, Software Solutions, User Experience (UX) Design competencies.
  • Application Design, Architecture, Application Development Tools, Application Maintenance, Application Testing, Packaged Application Integration, System Development Life Cycle, Technical Troubleshooting, Technical Writing/Documentation.
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with application development and design.
  • Knowledge of application architecture and testing.
  • Experience with system development life cycle and technical troubleshooting.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
