About the Role

The Software Engineer at 7-Eleven, Inc. is responsible for building digital products through the creation of reusable software components using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Airflow. The role involves developing and implementing e-Commerce strategies, ensuring code quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product development and architectural strategy in a retail e-Commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

Build digital products through the creation of reusable software components based on Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Airflow for batch jobs.
Develop and implement e-Commerce strategy using parallel execution by implementing computable future to support application performance.
Ensure efficient development of software code by following quality standards enforced through SonarQube, Checkmarx, and Aquascans.
Build robust test cases to unit test the development code using Junit.
Actively engage in product and business discussions with a technical eye for feasibility and adherence to overall roadmaps and architectural strategy.
Model an environment of strong collaboration and partnership with engineers, domain architects, product leaders, stakeholders, and partners to drive execution of roadmap, negotiate changes in priorities, and manage communication of impacts.
Implement best practices and coding standards to ensure code quality and avoid monetary damage.
Use Java, Microservices, REST API development, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Jenkins, GIT, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Python.

Requirements

Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software design and development or related roles.
7 years of experience in software design and development using Java, Microservices, REST API development, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Jenkins, GIT, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Python.
4 years of Retail e-Commerce domain experience.

Qualifications

Experience in software design and development with relevant technologies.
Experience in the Retail e-Commerce domain.
